GS1 Romania is a neutral, non-profit organisation, the only body officially authorised by GS1 Global to connect Romanian companies to the global GS1 standards ecosystem.

Global identification
We issue the GS1 Company Prefix and GS1 identifiers (GTIN, GLN, SSCC and other GS1 keys), used for the unique identification of products, locations and logistic units worldwide.
Product marking
We support companies in implementing GS1 barcodes, QR codes powered by GS1 and GS1 DataMatrix, preparing them for the new requirements on traceability and digitalisation.
Standardised data exchange
We develop and promote standards for the secure and interoperable exchange of data between trading partners, through solutions such as EDI, GDSN, EPCIS, GS1 Digital Link and Verified by GS1.
