GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is used to identify types of products, at any packaging level.
GTIN uniquely identifies each item, providing a common language for trading partners around the world to easily share information about it.
Representing the GTIN as a barcode on the product label enables quick, precise, and automatic access to its associated information through scanning.

If you want to identify only your company or its locations, you can choose a dedicated GLN licence, without GTIN codes for products.
